Knowledge collected from Tesla’s electrical vehicles in China is saved in China, the U.S. automaker’s vp stated, after stories that China’s navy has banned Teslas from its amenities.
“Tesla as an organization with operations in China should abide China’s legal guidelines and laws,” Tao Lin advised reporters in Beijing on Tuesday.
“Our information may be very properly protected. Chinese language information is saved in China.”
Tao stated Tesla, which is constructing electrical Mannequin 3 sedans and Mannequin Y sport-utility automobiles in Shanghai, would share its understanding of knowledge safety with the Chinese language authorities.
Sources advised Reuters on Friday that the Chinese language navy had banned Tesla vehicles from coming into its complexes, citing safety considerations over cameras put in on the automobiles.
Tesla Chief Govt Elon Musk stated in March his firm can be shut down if its vehicles have been used to spy.
