BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — An NYPD lieutenant was dragged by a car pushed by an alleged drunken driver in Brooklyn early Friday morning, police stated Saturday.
The lieutenant had stopped a car on Rockaway Parkway in Brownsville round 3:50 a.m. as a result of he suspected the motive force was intoxicated, police stated.
When he requested the person behind the wheel to step out of the car, the motive force took off, in response to the NYPD.
The lieutenant was dragged a couple of toes earlier than he was capable of break freed from the car, police stated. He was taken to a hospital with minor accidents and has since been launched.
The driving force, Takim Newsom, 32, fled the scene however later was arrested in Nassau County, in response to the NYPD.
